We do one thing: passports for physical products
Specproven is a small studio built around a single problem. The documentation that ships with a complex product is written for print, and the person holding the product is holding a phone.

The documentation already exists. It is just in the wrong format.
We take what your engineering and product teams have already written and rebuild it as something a buyer can use in the field.
Most companies making complex physical products are not short of product information. There are spec sheets, assembly drawings, material lists, service intervals, warranty terms, part numbers. The problem is that all of it was drawn for a printed page, filed as a PDF, and attached to an email that a buyer will not find again.
We rebuild that material as an interactive passport: a page per product line, keyed to serial numbers, reachable from a tag you print and apply to the unit itself. A buyer or a technician points a camera at the tag and lands on the exact data for the exact unit in front of them: components, specifications, service history, and a way to act on any of it without leaving the page.
We are not a software vendor. You are not buying a platform, staffing a project around it, and waiting two quarters to see a screen. You send one spec sheet, and within a week there is something you can hold up in a sales meeting and hand to a buyer.
What runs underneath is deliberately boring: one well-tested platform, configured per client from a structured data file, hosted on your subdomain or ours. The interesting work is in the modelling: deciding what a buyer actually needs at the moment they scan, and cutting everything else.
Four commitments that shape every build
They are the reason a passport takes days rather than quarters, and the reason it holds up once it is in the field.
One platform, configured per product
Every passport runs on the same codebase, driven by a single data file per product line. You get a working build in days because almost nothing is built from scratch.
The data work is ours
Send what you have, in whatever shape it is in: a print-ready PDF, a drawing set, a folder of photos, a spreadsheet a technician maintains. Structuring it is our job, not a task we hand back to your team.
Built for the field
A passport opens in a browser on a phone that may be outdoors, on a weak signal, held in a gloved hand. No app to install, no account to create, no password to reset in front of a buyer.
Start narrow, then expand
One product line first. Once it is in the field and buyers are using it, you decide which lines are worth covering next.
The shortest way to describe a studio is what it turns down
These are not positions we take reluctantly. Each one is why the rest of the work holds together.
We do not start a paid engagement before you have seen a sample passport built from your own specs.
We do not build native apps. A passport a buyer has to install is a passport a buyer will not open.
We do not sell your product data or your buyers’ details, or use either for anything beyond the account they belong to.
We do not lock your content up. The passport data for your product line is yours, and we hand it over on request.
Start with one spec sheet
We build a working sample passport from your own product data. No cost, no commitment, nothing to install.
